About Me
Welcome to my corner of the internet! I'm Marissa Haralambides, a 23-year-old graphic design graduate from Endicott College. I'm originally from little Rhode Island and would love to branch outside of my bubble in pursuit of a fulfilling design career. My design intent is to bring to light stories and emotions through my illustrative work which tactfully coincides with the messaging of the content. I've always been enamored with emotional, story-driven pieces of media whether it be a design, movie, book, or videogame. All graphics have the opportunity to speak to their audience using meaningful visual language through impactful color schemes, consistent branding, and of course illustration which I deliver. With the many avenues a design can take, my design style is also adaptive and flexible, mirroring the type of content along with the people I connect to.
Through my journey so far, I've experienced multiple design-centered courses and internships. I’ve become proficient in creating posters, infographics, and logo/ brand designs. This is reflected in my various food/product designs, my music festival concept, and more, which will be seen in my "work" section. My design work has expanded further into my love for narrative-based content such as with my concept graphic novel for my thesis, along with exploring further into photography, character design, and motion graphics. I use Adobe Suite programs such as Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign for the majority of my projects, but I do know how to navigate programs such as Adobe XD, After Effects, and Lightroom.
Outside of design skills, I work well both independently and as a group member open to collaboration. At previous internships, I’ve learned to cooperate with multiple designers to keep cohesion in company branding, critiquing work, and meeting with outside groups such as the marketing team to explore new possibilities for the company’s brand. I am attentive when it comes to learning and motivated to work hard in delivering.
